2023 USA World Championship Track and Field team/ 2023 Track and Field World Championship USA results

 The USATF Track and Field Championships were held from July 6-9, 2023 in Eugene Oregon.

Top three US finishers to World Athletics World Championships (4th person listed as automatic bye into the World Championships):

Some of these athletes do not have the World Championship standard and rosters may be adjusted because of this.

A few USA athletes did not qualify for the World Championships in Budapest. Aleia Hobbs did not advance to the 100 finals, Christian Taylor did not qualify in the triple jump, Trayvon Bromell did not qualify for the world championships in the 100, Quanera Hayes and Lynna Irby Jackson did not qualify for the world championships in the 100, Matthew Centrowitz finished 10th in the 1500 and did not qualify, Courtney Frerichs did not run in the 3000 steeplechase finals due to injury and wont compete at the world championships, Mason Ferlic finished 4th in the 3000 steeplechase and won't compete at the world championships, Jenna Prandini, Twanisha Terry and Abby Steiner all do not qualify for the world championships. in the 200. Sam Kendricks and KC Lightfoot both did not qualify for the world championships in the pole vault, Alaysha Johnson finished 4th in the 100 hurdles and wont compete in that event at the world championships, Wadeline Jonathas did not advance to the 400 finals, Colleen Quigley did not start the 3000 steeplechase heats and did not advance.

The World Track and Field Championships were held in Budapest, Hungary from August 19-27, 2023.

The USA dominated  these championships by winning gold in both men's and women's 100, gold in 3 of 4 relays and winning multiple medals in the men's shot put, women's hammer and women's discus.  The 29 total medals won by the USA are the most for any nation in any World Championships, second place was Jamaica with 12 total medals followed by Kenya and Great Britain with 10 medals each.
