The USA men's 4 by 400M relay team consisting of Bryshon Nellum, Joshua Mance, Tony Mcquay and Angelo Taylor wins silver with a time of 2 minutes 57.05 seconds. The Bahamas wins gold with a time of 2 minutes 56.72 seconds. Trinidad and Tobago wins bronze with a time of 2 minutes 59.40 seconds.
No American's medaled in the women's 1500M, men's pole vault and women's 5000M.
The USA men's basketball team advanced to the gold medal game against Spain by beating Argentina 109-83. The USA was leading 47-40 at halftime. Kevin Durant led team USA with 19 points and Lebron James and Carmelo Anthony had 18 points each.
