The Pyeongchang Olympics begin Thursday with Figure Skating and on Friday with the Opening Ceremony so I want to make a few medal predictions for the Pyeongchang games.
Germany, Norway, USA, Canada and the Netherlands will lead the medal count in this exact order.
Germany will win 39 total medals
Norway will win 37 total medals
USA will win 34 total medals
Canada will win 30 total medals
Netherlands will win 23 total medals
Olympic Athletes from Russia will win 17 medals or less.
The USA will win 10 gold, 13 silver and 11 bronze for a total of 34 total medals.
Some USA medalist predictions:
Gold: Mikaela Shiffrin, Lindsey Vonn, Nathan Chen, Maddie Bowman, Gus Kenworthy, Jamie Anderson, Heather Bergsma, Brittany Bowe, Chloe Kim and Maia/Alex Sibutani.
USA athletes that will medal silver or bronze: Ted Ligety, Shaun White, Madison Chock/Evan Bates, Mirai Nagasu, Kelly Clark, Shani Davis, JR Celski, Erin Hamlin, Katie Uhlaender and Lindsey Jacobellis.
