Day 14 - Mid Day February 17 to Mid Day February 18 - Beijing time


The USA women's hockey team wins silver by losing to Canada 3-2. Canada wins gold. Canada scored the first 3 goals to make it 3-0, Then the USA's Hilary Knight makes it 3-1 in the 2nd period. Amanda Kessel scored the USA's second goal with 12 seconds left in the third period.

Aaron Blunck (92.00 best score), Birk Irving (89.75 best score), David Wise (89.00 best score) and Alex Ferreira (84.25 best score), all of the USA, finished 1st, 3rd, 4th and 7th to advance to the men's Freestyle Skiing Freeski Halfpipe final.

Tricia Mangan of the USA(slalom time 57.05 and total time 2:32.94) finished 11th in women's Alpine Skiing Combined. Isabella Wright, Keely Cashman and Mikaela Shiffrin, all of the USA, did not finish the slalom run.

Jasper Good (80.9 round points), Taylor Fletcher (85.0 round points), Jared Shumate (108.1 round points) and Ben Loomis (113.1 round), all of the USA, are in 7th place with 387,1 total points in the men's Nordic Combined Team Gundersen Large Hill/4by 5KM Ski Jumping Competition Round. The USA finished 6th in 53 minutes and .071 seconds after the men's Cross Country results.

American Brittany Bowe (1:14.61) wins bronze in the women's Long Track Speed Skating 1000M. Miho Takagi of Japan(1:13.19 OR) wins gold and Jutta Leerdam of the Netherlands (1:13.83) wins silver, Kimi Goetz (1:15.50) of the USA finished 7th.

Alysa Liu of the USA finished 7th and scored a 139.45 in women's singles Free Skate for a total score of 208.95. American Mariah Bell finished 10th with a Free Skate Score of 136.92 and a total score of 202,30 and Karen Chen of the USA finished 16th with a Free Skate Score of 115.82 and total score of 179.93.Anna Shcherbakova of the ROC wins gold with a Free Skate score of 175.75 and a total score of 255.95. Alexandra  Trusova of the ROC wins silver with a Free Skate score of 177.13 and a total score of 251,73. Kaori Sakamoto of Japan wins bronze with a Free Skate score of 153.29 and total score of 233.13 and Kamila Valieva finished 4th with a Free Skate score of 141.93 and total score of 224.09.

The USA men's curling team of John Shuster, Chris Plys, Matt Hamilton and John Landsteiner lost to Great Britain 8-4 in the semifinals and now will face Canada for the bronze medal.

Hanna Faulhaber (85.25 best score), Brita Sigourney (70.75 best score) and Carly Margulies (61.00 best score), all of the USA , finish 6th, 10th and 11th respectively in the women's Freestyle skiing Freeski Halfpipe final.

Day 3 - Mid Day February 6 to Mid Day February 7 - Beijing time




Sean Fitzsimons (78.76 score), Red Gerard (78.20 score) and Chris Corning (69.30 score), all of the USA, advanced to the men's snowboard slopestyle finals.

Americans Scott Patterson and Gus Schumacher finished 11th and 39th respectively in the men's 15KM +15KM Skiathlon.

Americans Emery Lehman (6:21.80) and Ethan Cepuran (6:25.97) finished 16th and 17th respectively in men's 5000M Long Track Speed Skating.

Kai Evans (69.92 score) of the USA  qualified for Final 1 in women's Freestyle skiing moguls.

Jaelin Kauf (79.32 score), Olivia Giaccio (78.37 score) and Kai Evans (75.26 score), all of the USA, qualified for Final 2 of the women's Freestyle skiing moguls.

The USA mixed doubles curling team of Chris Plys and Vicky Persinger lost to Switzerland 6-5 in round robin.

Jaelin Kauf  (80.12 score) and Olivia Giaccio (77.57 score), both of the USA, advanced to final 3 of the women's Freestyle skiing moguls.

The USA women's hockey team beat Switzerland 8-0 in group A preliminary round. Hilary Knight, Kelly Pannek and  Jesse Compher scored 2 goals each. Amanda Kessel and Dani Cameranesi scored 1 goal each for Team USA. Team USA will face Canada next.

American Jaelin Kauf wins silver with a score of 80.28 in the women's Freestyle skiing moguls Final 3. Jakara Anthony of Australia wins gold with a score of 83.09 and Anastasiia Smirnova of the ROC wins bronze with a score of 77.72. Olivia Giaccio of the USA finished 6th with a score of 75.61.

Chris Mazdzer (3:51.377), Tucker West (3:52.360) and Jonathan Gustafson (3:53.946), all of the USA, finish 8th, 13th and 19th respectively in men's singles luge.

The USA mixed doubles curling team of Chris Plys and Vicky Persinger lost to Great Britain 8-4 in Round Robin.

Darian Stevens (84.75 Run 1, 10,00 Run 2, and 67.25 Run 3- total score 152.00)  of the USA advanced to the finals of the women's Freestyle skiing Freeski Big Air

Americans Alexa Knierim/Brandon Frazier score a 128.97 to finish in 5th place and earn 6 points in the Figure Skating team event - Pairs Free Skate.

Results after 6 events. The USA is tied for 2nd place with Japan with 48 points. The ROC is in 1st place with 55 points, China and Canada are tied for 3th place with 37 points. 

After one run of the women's Alpine skiing Giant Slalom, Americans Mikaela Shiffrin and AJ Hurt did not finish their runs and both will not be in the second run. Nina O'Brien of the USA is in 6th place with a time of 58.81 seconds. Paula Moltzan of the USA is in 17th place  in a time of 59.57 seconds. 

Americans Madison Chock/Evan Bates score a 129.07 to finish in 1st place and earn 10 points in the Figure Skating Team Event- Ice Dance- Free Dance.

Results after 7 events. ROC is in first place with 64 points, the USA is in second place with 58 points, Japan is in 3rd place with 54 points. Canada is in 4th place with 45 points and China is in 5th place with 44 points.

American Karen Chen scores a 131.52 to finish 4th to earn 7 points in the Figure Skating Team event - Women's Free Skate. 

Final results.. ROC wins gold with 74 points, the USA wins silver with 65 points, Japan wins bronze with 63 points, Canada finished 4th with 53 points and China finished 5th with 50 points.

Red Gerard of the USA scored an 83.25 in run 1 of men's Snowboard Slopestyle.

Day 14

In men's semifinal Curling, the USA(Team Schuster) beat Canada 5-3 and will face Sweden for the gold medal.

The USA team of Susan Dunklee, Clare Egan, Joanne Firesteel Reid and Emily Dreissigacker finished 13th in women's Biathlon- 4 by 6KM Relay.

The USA team of Taylor Fletcher, Ben Berend, Ben Loomis and Bryan Fletcher finished 10th in men's Nordic Combined - Team Gundersen LH/4 by 5KM.

The USA team of JR Celski, John Henry Krueger, Thomas Hong and Aaron Tran finished 1st in men's Short Track Speed Skating - 5000M Relay Final B. Kazakhstan finished 2nd and Japan finished 3rd.

Americans Bradie Tennell, Mirai Nagasu and Karen Chen finished 9th, 10th and 11th respectively at the conclusion of the women's Figure Skating - Free Skate. Bradie Tennell scored a 128.34 Free Skate and 192.35 total score. Mirai Nagasu scored a 119.61 Free Skate and 186.54 total score and Karen Chen scored a 119.75 Free Skate and 185.65 total score. Alina Zagitova of OAR wins gold with a Free Kate score of 156.65 and total score of 239.57. Evgenia Medvedeva of OAR wins silver with a Free Skate score of 156.65 and total score of 238.26. Kaetlyn Osmond of Canada wins bronze with a Free Skate score of 152.15 and total score of 231.02.
