After midnight I saw the USA women's volleyball team consisting of Ogama Nnamani, Danielle Scott-Arruda, Tayyiba Haneef-Park, Lindsey Berg, Stacy Sikora, Nicole Davis, Heather Bown, Jennifer Joines, Kim Glass, Robyn Ah Mow-Santos, Kim Willoughby and Logan Tom lose to Cuba 3-0.
Later on in the day, I watched the USA men's beach volleyball team of Phil Dalhausser/Todd Rogers beat Heuscher/Heyer of Switzerland 2-0, 21-15 and 21-10.
The USA women's water polo team defeated China 12-11.
In the evening, I watched the USA men's synchronized 10m diving team of Thomas Finchum and David Boudia finish 5th. Chins wins gold, Germany silver and Russia bronze.

In men's swimming, American Michael Phelps sets another world record in winning gold in the 200m freestyle while fellow American Peter Vanderkaay wins bronze.
In the women's 100m backstroke, USA swimmer Natalie Coughlin wins gold, Margaret Hoelzer of the USA wins bronze.
In the men's 100 backstroke, USA swimmer Aaron Peirsol wins gold, Matt Grevers of the USA wins silver.
In the men's gymnastics team final the USA wins bronze, while China wins gold and Japan wins silver. The USA had a chance to win silver but faltered slightly on the pommel horse.
