Courtney Wayment and Valerie Constien, both of the USA, advanced to the women's 3000 steeplechase final.

Deanna Price and Nneka Annette  Echikunwoke, both of the USA, advanced to the women's hammer throw final.

Gabby Thomas, McKenzie Long and Brittany Brown, all of the USA, advanced to the women's 200 semifinals.

Grant Holloway and Daniel Roberts, both of the USA, advanced to the men's 110 hurdles semifinals. American Freddie Crittenden advanced to the men's 110 hurdles repechage round.

Jasmine Jones, Anna Cockrell and Sydney McLaughlin Levrone, all of the USA, advanced to the women's 400 hurdles semifinals.

The USA women's volleyball team beat France 3-0, 29-27, 29-27, 25-20 to advance to the quarterfinals.

American Kristen Faulkner wins gold (3:59.23) in the women's cycling road race. Marianne Vos (4:00.21) of the Netherlands wins silver and Lotte Kopecky (4:00.21) of Belgium wins bronze.

American Brady Ellison wins silver by losing to Kim Woojin of Korea 6-5 in men's archery Individual gold medal match.  Woojin wins gold.  Lee Wooseok of Korea wins bronze by beating Florian Unruh of Germany 6-0.

Austen Jewell Smith of the USA wins bronze in the women's skeet shooting final. Francisca Crovetto Chadid of Chile wins gold and Amber Jo Rutter of Great Britain wins silver.

Sunisa Lee (14.800) of the USA wins bronze on women's gymnastics uneven bars. Kaylia Nemour of Algeria wins gold with a score of 15.700 and Qiyuan Qiu of China wins silver with a score of 15.500.

The USA women's basketball team beat Germany 87-68. The USA led at halftime 41-29. The USA was led in scoring by Jackie Young with 19 points. A'ja Wilson scored 14 points and Breanna Stewart scored 13 points for team USA.

American Bobby Finke wins gold (world record 14:30.67) in men's 1500 freestyle. Gregorio Paltrinieri (14:34.55) of Italy wins silver and Daniel Wiffen (14:39.63) of Ireland wins bronze.

The USA men's 3 on 3 basketball team lost to the Netherlands 21-6. Dylan Travis, Kareem Maddox and Canyon Barry each scored 2 points to lead team USA.

Chris Bailey, Michael Norman and Quincy Hall, all of the USA, advanced to the men's 400 semifinals.

The USA men's 4 by 100 medley relay team of Ryan Murphy, Nic Fink, Caeleb Dressel and Hunter Armstrong wins silver in 3:28.01. China wins gold in 3:27.46 and France wins bronze in 3:28.38.

The USA women's 4 by 100 medley relay team of Regan Smith, Lilly King, Gretchen Walsh and Torri Husk win gold in a world record time of 3:49.63. Australia wins silver in 3:53.11 and China wins bronze in 3:53.23.

Noah Lyles, Kenny Bednarek and Fred Kerley, all of the USA, advanced to the men's 100 final.

Juliette Whittaker of the USA advanced to the women's 800 final.

Cole Hocker, Yared Nuguse and Hobbs Kessler, all of the USA, advanced to the men's 1500 final.

Noah Lyles (9.79) and Fred Kerley (9.81), both of the USA, win gold and bronze in the men's 100. Kishane Thompson of Jamaica wins silver in 9. 79. The difference between Lyles and Thompson was decided by .005 of a second and in a photo finish, Lyles out leans Thompson for gold. Kenny Bednarek of the USA finished 7th  in 9.88. 

The USA women's beach volleyball team of Sara Hughes/Kelly Cheng beat Valentina Gottardi/Marta Menegatti of Italy 2-1, 21=18, 17-21, 15-12. Hughes/Cheng advance to the quarterfinals.

The USA men's water polo team lost to Greece 13-11. Alex Bowen and  Max Irving led the USA in scoring with 2 goals each.

The USA men's four rowing team of Nick Mead, Justin Best, Michael Grady and Liam Corrigan wins gold (5:49.03). New Zealand wins silver in 5:49.88 and Great Britain wins bronze in 5:52.42. 

Regan Smith and Phoebe Bacon, both of the USA, advanced to the women's 200 backstroke semifinals.

Caeleb Dressel of the USA advanced to the men's 50 freestyle semifinals.

Carson Foster and Shaine Casas, both of the USA, advanced to the men's 200IM semifinals.

The women's USA 4 by 200 freestyle relay team of Anna Peploski, Erin Gemmel, Simone Manuel, and Alex Shackell advanced to the final.

The USA women's 3 on 3 basketball team lost to Australia 17-15. Rhyne Howard led the USA in scoring with 8 points.

The USA women's foil fencing team of Lee Keifer, Lauren Scruggs, Jacqueline Dubrovich and Maia Mei Weintraub wins gold by beating Italy 45-39. 

The USA beach volleyball team of Andy Benesh/Miles Partain beat George Souto Maior Wanderly/Andre Loyola Stein of Brazil 2-1, 21-17, 14-21, 15-8. 

Simone Biles (59.131( and Sinisa Lee (56.465), both of the USA, win gold and bronze respectfully in women's gymnastics All Around final. Rebeca Andrade of Brazil wins silver with a score of 57.932. Simone Biles scored a 15.766 on vault, 13.733 on uneven bars, 14.566 on balance beam and 15.066 on floor exercise. Sunisa Lee scored a 13.933 on vault, 14.866 on uneven bars, 14.000 on balance beam, and 13.666 on floor exercise.

The USA men's 3 on 3 basketball team lost to Lithuania 20-18. Canyon Barry led team USA in scoring with 9 points.

American Regan Smith wins silver (2:03.84) in the women's 200 butterfly. Summer McIntosh of Canada wins gold in an Olympic record 2:03.03 and Yufei Zhang of China wins bronze in 2:05.09.

American Caeleb Dressel advanced to the men's 50 freestyle finals.

The USA women's basketball team beat Belgium 87-74. The USA led 46-38 at halftime. Breanna Stewart had 26 points to lead team USA. A'ja Wilson scored 23 points.

American Kate Douglass wins gold (2:19.24) in the women's 200 breaststroke. Tatjana Smith of South Africa wins silver in 2:19.60 and Tes Schouten of the Netherlands wins bronze in 2:21.05.

The USA women's 3 on 3 basketball team beat Spain 17-11. Hailey van Lith and Rhyne Howard each scored 5 points to lead team USA.

The USA women's beach volleyball team of Taryn Kloth/Kristen Nuss beat Chen Xue/Xinyi Xia pf China 2-1, 15-21, 21-16, 15-12. This match was interrupted by lightning before it was resumed.

The women's USA 4 by 200 freestyle relay team of Claire Weinstein, Paige Madden, Katie Ledecky and Erin Gemmell win silver ((7:40.86).  Australia wins gold in an Olympic record 7:38.08 and China wins bronze in 7:42.34.

The USA 3 by 3 basketball team lost to Latvia 21-19. Canyon Barry scored 10 points to lead team USA.

Krysta Palmer of the USA wins bronze in women's 3M springboard diving with 343.75 points. Tingmao Shi of China wins gold with 383.55 points and Han Wang of China wins silver with 348.75 points. American Hailey Hernandez finished 9th with 288.45 points.

Katherine Nye of the USA wins silver in women's weightlifting snatch 76kg. Neisi  Dajomes Barrera of Ecuador wins gold and Aremi Zavala of Mexico wins bronze.

American MyKayla Skinner wins silver on vault with a score of 14.916 in the women's gymnastics event finals. Rebeca Andrade of Brazil wins gold with a score of 15.083 and Seojeong Yeo of Korea wins bronze with a score of 14.733. American Jade Carey finished 8th in the vault with a score of 12.416.

American Sunisa Lee wins bronze on the uneven bars with a score of 14.500 in the women's gymnastics event finals. Nina Bel Derwael of Belgium wins gold with a score of 15.200 and Anastasiia Iliankova of ROC wins silver with a score of 14.833.

Yul Muldauer of the USA finished 6th on Floor Exercise with a score of 13.533 in the men's gymnastics event finals. American Alec Yoder finished 6th on the Pommel Horse with a score of  14,566.

The USA won a bronze medal in men's fencing team foil beating Japan 45-31. France wins gold and ROC wins silver.

Fred Kerley and Ronnie Baker, both of the USA, advanced to the men's 100 finals. Trayvon Bromell of the USA did not qualify for the finals.

Gabriele Cunningham and Keni Harrison, both of the USA, advanced to the women's 100 hurdles finals. American Christina Clemons(Manning) did not advance to the finals.

Rai Benjamin of the USA advanced to the men's 400 hurdles finals.  Americans Kenny Selmon and David Kendziera did not advance to the finals.

Clayton Murphy of the USA advanced to the 800 finals.  Americans Bryce Hoppel and Isiah Jewett did not advance to the finals. Jewett and Nijel Amos of Botswana were tripped up and finished the race but Jewett finished 7th and Amos 8th. Amos was reinstated to the finals, Jewett was not reinstated.

Fred Kerley of the USA wins silver in the men's 100M final in 9. 84 seconds. Lamont Marcell Jacobs of Italy wins gold in 9.80 seconds. Andre de Grasse of Canada wins bronze in 9.89 seconds. American Ronnie Baker finished 5th in 9.95 seconds.

The USA men's volleyball team lost to Argentina 3-0, 21-25, 23-25, 23-25. The USA has been eliminated and will not advance to the quarterfinals. 

The USA beach volleyball team of Alix Klineman/April Ross beat Lidy/Leila of Cuba 2-0, 21-17, 21-15.

Cory McGee, Ellie Pierre Purrier and Heather MacLean, all of the USA, advanced to the women's 1500 semifinals.

Rudy Winker and Daniel Haugh, both of the USA, advanced to the men's hammer throw finals.

Gabby Thomas, Anavia Battle and Jenna Prandini, all of the USA, advanced to the women's 200 semifinals.

Keni Harrison of the USA wins silver (12.52 seconds) in the women's 100 hurdles. Jasmine Camacho-Quinn of Puerto Rico wins gold in 12.37 seconds and Megan Tapper of Jamaica wins bronze in 12,55 seconds.

The USA women's beach volleyball team of April Ross/Alix Klineman beat Keizer/Meppelink of the Netherlands 2-1, 20-22, 21-17, 15-5. Ross/Klineman advance to the knockout round after going undefeated in Pool B.

The USA women's basketball team beat Nigeria 81-72. The USA fell behind Nigeria 25-20 before going on a 23-0 run to go up 43-25. At half time the USA was up 44-32 at halftime. The USA was led by A'ja Wilson with 19 points, Brittney Griner with 13 points and Diana Taurasi had 10 points. 

The USA women's 10M Platform Synchro duo of Jessica Parratto/Delaney Schnell wins silver with 310.80 points. Yuxi Chen/Jiaqi Zhang  of China wins gold with 363.78 points and Gabriela Agundez Garcia/Alejandra Orozco Loza wins bronze with 299.70 points.

The USA women's volleyball beat China 3-0, 29-27, 25-22, 25-21.

The USA Softball team wins silver after losing to Japan 2-0. Japan wins gold. Ally Carda took the loss. Cat Osterman went 2 innings and was relieved. Japan scored 1 run in the 4th and 1 run in the 5th innings as the USA was held to 3 hits. Canada beat Mexico 3-2 to win bronze.

The USA women's soccer team tied Australia 0-0 to advance to the knockout round against the Netherlands on Friday, July 30. Alex Morgan scored a goal in the 31st minute but she was called offside and the goal was nullified.

Caeleb Dressel and Zach Apple, both of the USA, advance to the semifinals of the men's 100 freestyle.

Hali Flickinger and Regan Smith, both of the USA, advance to the semifinals of the women's 200 butterfly.

Nic Fink of the USA advanced to the semifinals of the men's 200 breaststroke.

The USA men's 4 by 200 freestyle relay team of Drew Kibler, Andrew Seliskar, Patrick Callan and Blake Pieroni advanced to the finals.

Robert Finke of the USA advanced to the finals of the men's 800 freestyle.

The USA men's water polo team beat South Africa 20-3. Ben Hallock led team USA with 4 goals followed by Johnny Hooper and Ben Stevenson with 3 goals each. 

The USA women's gymnastics team wins silver with a total of 166.096 points. ROC wins gold with a total of 169.528 points and Great Britain wins bronze with a total of 164.096 points. Italy was 4th with a total of 163.638 points and Japan finished 5th with a total of 163.280 points. 

Simone Biles scored a 13.766 on vault and only did 1 and a half twists instead of 2 and a half twists and landed awkwardly. Then, just before the second rotation, Biles withdrew from the event finals competition. At first it was thought Biles had a physical injury but it was determined later it was all mental. Biles said in front of the cameras. I don't believe I can trust myself and was seen walking off of the floor and away from her team mates.  Biles later rejoined her team mates and cheered them on. As of today, Biles status for all-around is unclear.

Grace McCallum scored a 14.300 on vault, scored a 13.700 on uneven bars, scored an 13.866 on balance beam and scored a 13.500 on floor exercise. Sunisa Lee scored a 15.400 on uneven bars, scored a 14.133 on balance beam, and scored a 13.666 on floor exercise.  Jordan Chiles scored a 14.666 on vault, 14.166 on uneven bars, 14.433 on balance beam and scored a 11.700 on floor exercise. 

Carissa Moore of the USA wins gold with 14.93 points in women's surfing. Bianca Buitendag of South Africa wins silver with 8.46 points. Amuro Tsuzuki of Japan wins bronze with 6.80 points over the Usa's Caroline Marks of the USA (4.26), who finished 4th. 

The USA men's beach volleyball team of Jake Gibb/Tri Bourne beat Heidrich/Gerson of Switzerland 2-0, 21-19, 23-21.

Mary Tucker and Lucas Kozeniesky, both of the USA, win silver in the mixed 10M Air Rifle shhoting competition by losing to China 17-13. China wins gold. ROC wins bronze.

Caeleb Dressel of the USA advanced to the finals of the men's 100 freestyle.

Katie Ledecky of the USA finished 5th in the women's 200 freestyle finals.

Hali Flickinger and Regan Smith, both of the USA, advanced to the finals of the women's 200 butterfly.

Nic Fink of the USA advanced to the finals of the men's 200 breaststroke.

Alex Walsh(2 minutes 8.65 seconds) and Kate Douglass(2 minutes 9.04 seconds), both of the USA, win silver and bronze respectively in the women's 200IM. Yui Ohashi of Japan wins gold in 2 minutes 8.52 seconds.

Katie Ledecky(15 minutes 37.34 seconds) and Erica Sullivan(15 minutes 41.41 seconds)both of the USA, win gold and silver respectively in the women's 1500. Sarah Kohler of Germany wins bronze in 15 minutes 42.91 seconds.

The USA men's 4 by 200M relay team of Kieran Smith, Drew Kibler, Zach Apple and Townley Haas finished 4th.
